AppDelete is an uninstaller for your Mac that will safely remove applications, widgets, preference panes, plugins, and screensavers – as well as their associated files. Thanks to AppDelete, these associated files normally left behind when moving items to the trash are uninstalled also, leaving behind no remains of the deleted application.

AppDelete couldn’t be easier to use. Simply drag and drop items onto the AppDelete icon and it will do the rest, gathering the associated files and selecting them for removal.

Should you drag and drop something and realize you’ve made a mistake, there’s a handy undo feature that will let you restore the file(s) you’ve deleted.

Whether you’re a new Mac user or not, you’re bound to appreciate the easy installation Mac OSX offers. The simplicity of drag and drop installs is effortless. No selecting which directory to install it to, how much space it should receive, or whether it conflicts with another piece of software. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy to uninstall programs on the Mac because just dragging an application from the applications menu to the recycle bin can leave extra files associated with the software still installed.

Enter AppCleaner. It’s a free uninstaller which makes uninstalling Mac software easy. Instead of dragging a program to the recycle bin, you open up AppCleaner, select which piece of software you want to uninstall, and it will remove all the extra files associated with the program. There’s an uninstall window where you can drag and drop applications you wish to install, or you can look at your applications from within AppCleaner and select them from there. There’s also two other options to uninstall widgets or other files.
